AI agent for social media

A domain that sells itself

Cryptobase started with a simple question: what if a domain could sell itself? So I built an AI agent that does exactly that. It writes its own posts about the domains we have up for sale and publishes them straight to X — no scheduling tools, no copywriting sessions, no manual posting. It just quietly does its job, around the clock.

Local model growing pains

The first version ran on a local model, and honestly, it fought me the whole way. The most stubborn problem was the smallest one: the domain endings. The agent would write a genuinely good pitch and then confidently tweet out the wrong ending — .com instead of .net, .net instead of .io. A tiny mistake that quietly kills the whole lead, because people go looking for a domain that isn't the one for sale.

Once I switched the agent over to OpenAI's API, everything worked like clockwork. Same agent, same pipeline — but every tweet came out right, every time. And correct tweets turned into real conversations: the agent has since generated domain sale leads worth over $50,000.
